Grocery mart sells a better deal at 57 cents a pound. Baldwin hills market sells at .60 cents a pound so grocery mart is 3 cents better.

(How you figure it out is you divide the cost by the pounds like "4.20 divided by 7lb" which is of course 60. Then you do the same thing with the other numbers and determine what's better.)

hope this helps :D

What is the equation of the line in slope-intercept form?
Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

y = -3x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

y = mx + b

y = y coordinate

m = slope (rise/run, up/over, change in y/change in x)

x = x coordinate

b = y intercept (where the line crosses the y-axis.

1. Write the equation                                                            y = mx + b

2. Substitute the numbers in the proper place.                y = 3/1 x + 4

3. Check for the type of slope- (positive or negative) y = -3x + 4

    (Downhill slopes are always negative.)

The probability that a 4 shows up is 0.20 and the proportion of 3's rolled is 0.467

The probability that a 4 shows up

From the list of numbers, we have:

  • Sides = 5 i.e. numbers 1 to 5
  • n(4) = 1 i.e. sides labelled 4

The probability that a 4 shows up is then calculated as:

P = n(4)/Sides

This gives

P = 1/5

Evaluate

P = 0.2

The proportion of 3's rolled

In the list of numbers, we have:

  • Total = 15
  • Number of 3's = 7

The proportion of 3's rolled is then calculated as:

P = Number of 3's/Total

This gives

P = 7/15

Evaluate

P = 0.467

Hence, the proportion of 3's rolled is 0.467
