20% of 80

= (20/100) * 80

Cancel out one zero each from 20 and 100

= (2/10) * 80

Cancel out one zero from 10 and 80

= 2*8

Multiply out

= 16

I hope this helps.

Fast trick to calculate percentages that I always use.

If you need to find 10% of something, just move one place to the left.
Example:
10% of 100 is 10
10% of 90 is 9
10% of 823 is 82.3
10% of 120 is 12
and so on.

Now that you know how to calculate 10% of ANY number, to get 20% is to just multiply it by two.
10% of 90 is 9 so 20% is 18
10% of 823 is 82.3 so 20% is 164.6
10% of 120 is 12 so 20% is 24

Let's now try it on your problem.

10% of 80 is 8
So 20% of 80 is 16!

One more quick tip:
If you want to let's say find 23% of 80, you move two places to the left to get 1%
1% of 80 is 0.8
And now you multiply 1% with 23 to get 23%
23% of 80 is 0.8 * 23 = 18.4 and voila, now you can calculate percentages easily!

Triangle ABC is reflected across the line y=2x to map onto triangle RST. Select all statements that are true.
Anettt [7]

The reflection transformation in the question is a rigid transformation,

therefore, the image and the preimage are congruent.

The statements that are true are;

 • AB = RS
 • ∠ABC ~ ∠RST
 • ΔABC = ΔRST
 • m∠BAC = m∠SRT

Reasons:

The given parameter are;

Triangle ΔABC is reflected across the line 2·X, to map onto triangle ΔRST

Required:

To select the true statements

Solution:

A reflection is a rigid transformation, therefore, the distance between corresponding points on the image and the preimage are equal.

Therefore;

AB = RS

BC = ST

AC = RT

Given that the image formed by a reflection is congruent to the preimage, we have;

ΔABC ≅ ΔRST

∠ABC ≅ ∠RST

m∠ABC = m∠RST by the definition of congruency

∠BCA ≅ ∠STR

m∠BCA = m∠STR by the definition of congruency

∠BAC ≅ ∠SRT

m∠BAC = m∠SRT by the definition of congruency

Therefore, the true statements are;

 • AB = RS; Image formed by rigid transformation
 • ∠ABC ~ ∠RST; Definition of similarity
 • ΔABC = ΔRST; By definition of congruency
 • m∠BAC = m∠SRT; by the definition of congruency

What are the missing angles? What is the relationship between the measures of supplementary angles?
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

6=100°

8=80°

7=100°

9=80°

Step-by-step explanation:

If 6 is 100°

in a straight line theres 180 degrees

180-100=80°

8 is 80°

opposite 6 to 7 there are parallel corresponding angles meaning the angle opposite it will be the same. 8 with 9.
