Hurston was successful with her goals because her book “Their Eyes Were Watching God” influenced so many lives especially African American’s be proud of their heritage and where they come from. It thought people to not always think that where they come from is something bad, but something they should live to cherish for the rest of their lives and to come back and help others in their heritage be better version of themselves.

The second reason is that, she informed/educated the world of the native tongue/language of African Americans teacher young ones not to be shy to speak using their heritage language.
