In what way is reforestation a positive initiative?

Geography
1 answer:
Marta_Voda [28]3 years ago

The reforestation is a positive initiative in that it replants trees on lands destroyed by farming, manufacturing, logging, and city growth.

Explanation:

The reforestation is a process through which trees are planted on the places where they were once present. Through this process we have the creation of new forests. The reforestation has many positive aspects, and virtually no negative aspects.

Through he formation of new forests, the land that was once destroyed by the human activities is getting rehabilitated. The erosion is minimized, as the root systems of the trees and their canopies protect the soil. Numerous communities of plants and animals thrive, thus the biodiversity increases.

Other positives from the reforestation are:

  • Increase of oxygen levels
  • Decrease of carbon levels
  • Lowering the temperature
  • Higher amounts of precipitation and humidity
