Today teenagers are controlled by the cellphones essay
egoroff_w [7]

Answer: People have cell phones everywhere, especially teenagers. Teenagers are glued to their cell phones; they need cell phones almost everywhere they go.   Today teens are depending on their phones for everything. The number of cell phones users has increased and as of 2010, there were more than 303 million subscribers in the U.S., according to the cellular companies (Hanna).  As a result of teenagers over using cell phones, teens are being  impacted emotionally, socially, and physically.

One way that teens are being impacted by over using their cell phones is emotionally. A study by Adriana Bianchi, and James G. Phillips showed the  more teens use their phones the more likely they are  to be anxious, depressed, and have a low self-esteem…show more content…

However, people have been concerned with teenagers and cell phones, they want to make sure they have a life outside there phone. Some teenagers would rather stay inside then go outside. One study shows seventy two percent of kids ages 12-17 are getting phones( ). Today younger kids are getting a phone, this is a concern that they won’t have a social life outside of their phone.

Another problem that comes from teens being on their phones for too long is that it can result in health problems. Many teens like to stay up too late. One of the reasons is because of their phone. Studies show that more texts are sent during the night then the day. Cell phone use in total darkness is not good for your brain. The brain is in its sensitive period when going to bed, this can affect teens’ sleep cycle.  Teens need more sleep than adults do because they're going through hormones and sleep is the thing they need the most and food. As a result of teenagers using cell phones, teens say they feel more independent from their parents, but cyberbullying is higher risks of occurrence, and teens will be more distracted while driving. One example, are health risks causing
