Naya [18.7K]

The area that was the center of economic activity was known as the economic hotbed.

Explanation:

Until the 1870s and 80s when the slowdown and the downturn of the booming American economy started, most of  the production and economic activity was based around the bustling states that were known as the hotbeds .

These hotbeds were states like California that had a warmer, more pleasant climate all around the year and were the most strategically important parts of the country for their economic activity as companies worked from there.

How does religion influence different characteristics of a society?
drek231 [11]

Religion was introduced to regulate the society. Thereafter, states have taken up the responsibility, and improved it further. Most of the laws of the nations are the products of various religion. But religion multiplied, and deviated from the stated path. There were clashes between the religion and the states, but later on religion could not match with the pace of the states, on various issues. The control of states by religion started eroding, though some religions are still controlling the states. The laws are different in different states, mainly due to change in religion.

Now religions multiplied in different nations, and unable to compromise with each other. States conflict with the religion and the conflict of religion between themselves, resulted in the disturbance to the people in various ways. compromise between various religion is difficult, and the participation of various religion in the democratic process, gave more problems than solutions. Our founding fathers, failed to arrest the participation of various religions into the democratic set up, and as such, religions are in search for more powers than the states.
