The rediscovery of ancient Greek and Roman knowledge sparked a period of rebirth known as the __?__.
allsm [11]

Answer:

D. Renaissance

Explanation:

Okay, we can automatically rule out the Cold War because that was in a completely different era with Russians and whatnot. We can also rule out the Industrial Revolution because that was also in a different time period. Now, the Protestant Reformation was about people leaving the Catholic Church, and it was during that time period, but it wasn't about Greek and Roman literature and stuff, so that leaves us with the Renaissance. The new deal pre-dated social and economic reforms in europe true or false
ankoles [38]
False.

In fact, some New Deal programs borrowed ideas from things already done in Europe.  For instance, already in the late 19th century, Germany under the leadership of Otto von Bismarck passed the Health Insurance Bill (1883), the Accident Insurance Bill (1884), and the Old Age and Disability Insurance Bill (1889).  Such reforms in Germany continued after Bismarck ended his service as chancellor, with the Workers Protection Act (1891).

Germany's Old Age and Disability Insurance Bill of 1889 provided a pattern and precedent for the United States' Social Security Act, signed into law in 1935.
