Story of my life by Helen Keller need a quote about not giving up and explaining

English

Answer:

1. I slip back many times, I fall, I stand still, I run against the edge of hidden obstacles, I lose my temper and find it again and keep it better, I trudge on, I gain a little, I feel encouraged, I get more eager and climb higher and begin to see the widening horizon. Every struggle is a victory. One more effort and I reach the luminous cloud, the blue depths of the sky, the uplands of my desire.”

2. “One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.”

3. “Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow.”

Explanation:

1. Helen Keller explains from a first person point of view how it is to embark on a difficult path. She explains that it is not going to be easy, and that one may face setbacks and obstacles. That one may lose their temper and feel like giving up. Yet, when one decides not to give up and achieves even a little, one may feel encouraged and will struggle harder. This harder struggle will make it easier to achieve the goal.

2. When you are looking at a goal, no matter how big or small, you must not conform to the technicalities or give up. Give it your best shot, and never sell yourself short.

3. When working towards a goal, it is only natural to face failures and setbacks. In that case, do not think of the failures themselves, but that you have conquered another obstacle, and tried out a new path, and that now you are closer than ever to your goal. Encourage yourself with the idea of the success you may achieve tomorrow.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.:

Believe. No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit

Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experiences of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved.

What I’m looking for is not out there, it is in me.

A happy life consists not in the absence, but in the mastery of hardships.

The best way out is always through.

Never bend your head. Hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.

The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse.

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.

Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

One can never content to creep when one feels an impulse to soar.

When we do the best we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.

While they were saying among themselves it cannot be done, it was done.

What is the theme of “Fire and Ice” by Robert Frost?
BigorU [14]
The theme of Robert Frost's poem is the destuctive potential of hatred and desire. In his poem, Frost explores with amazingly eloquent brevity two forces which have the potential to bring destruction to the world. The first of these two is desire, which Frost likens in heat and intensity to fire.

Discuss the early relationship between Ralph and Piggy.  Why do you think Ralph chooses to tell everyone Piggy's nickname?  What
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

The early relationship between Ralph and Piggy is strained because Piggy wants to be friends with Ralph, but Ralph isn't interested. Ralph told everyone Piggy's nickname to assert a sense of dominance and make himself look bigger to the other boys. I think this makes Ralph mean, but smart and calculated. He knew what sharing the nickname would do for him, but he did not care that it would hurt Piggy. Ralph's immediate betrayal of Piggy to make himself more popular shows that society has not done a good job of raising children to have good morals. It shows that it is highly accepted in society to put others down if it means bringing yourself up. Ralph is not a true friend to Piggy because he used him, betrayed him, and laughed at him.
