Answer:

The Italian Renaissance was a period in the Italian history that covered the 15th and 16th centuries, spreading across Europe and marking the transition from the Middle Ages to Modernity. Proponents of a "long Renaissance" argue that it began in the 14th century and lasted until the 17th century.

Historians have identified several causes for the emergence of the Renaissance following the Middle Ages, such as: increased interaction between different cultures, the rediscovery of ancient Greek and Roman texts, the emergence of humanism, different artistic and technological innovations, and the impacts of conflict

Which of the following was a factor that attracted settlers from the East to the Oregon Country in the 1840s?
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

In the late 1830s and early 1840s, many more Americans started to move to Oregon. This was the era of the famous Oregon Trail. These settlers were motivated by a desire for land, not by a desire for furs. They were not going to Oregon to trade but rather to set up their own new homes.

Kryger [21]

Answer:

The main ideology in the US is that the power is in the people, competition is encouraged, and people can own land as long as they have money. The main ideology in the Soviet Union is that the power is in the government, everyone gets a certain amount of food, land, money no matter how much money they have and are usually under strict control. Basically the main difference is the US claims to have everyone equal and the Soviet Union makes everyone equal (except for the government).

What was the main goal of Wilson’s Fourteen Points?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer: 1. to prevent future conflict in Europe

Explanation:

That was a key element of Wilson’s efforts involved in a fourteen-point document. For that purpose, the League of Nations was formed, which was supposed to ensure peace. The United States was also supposed to be part of that community, but Congress never approved that request. Wilson received the Nobel Peace Prize a year before the expiration of his presidential term (1920) for promoting the ideals of peace in the world
