It would have both effects

positive:
-no higher power of the rich
- everyone can live comfortably
-less homeless people
-less poverty
-everyone is treated fairly

negative:
- more and more people take over the land
- more production of higher priced products which can lead to more pollution
- population growth
- less people would want to be things like doctors since they would get the same $ as a waiter
