The Opossum is a marsupial mammal which is native to Virginia. It shows the following three types of adaptations when it finds a predator surrounding it.

1. It exhibit physical adaptation in the form of running, belching and glowing.

2. It shows physical adaptation like rolling on their backs, slowing down their breathing and becoming stiff as if they are dead.

3. It shows physiological adaptation like urination and defecation.
