The protagonist is Ariel, and Maria is the antagonist . The rising action happens when Maria is feeling very upset because she has lost her lucky pink swim cap. Ariel finds the cap under the bleachers, this is the climax . The conflict is when Ariel had to decide if she would return Maria's lost lucky swim cap.
