The peace conference took place at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kitery, Maine, US. To finally end the conflict, Japan and Russia made a treaty called "The Treaty of Portsmouth".  This made 12 sessions that lasted for almost a month in August. Theodore Roosevelt became the mediator of this agreement between the two powerful countries.
