One of the necessary ingredients for a hurricane to form is the accumulation of thunderstorms that travel over the warm waters of the ocean.

The warm air of the storm and the air of the ocean surface combine and begin to rise. This generates low pressure on the surface of the ocean.

Another important ingredient are the winds that move in opposite directions, which cause the storm to begin to spin.
