Answer:

I misperceived my teacher. At times my teacher was sarcastic beyond limits and mean to everyone around her(including other teachers) I branded and judged her as a vile, ruthless teacher. One day when our teacher was absent, our assistant principal came to class and told us that our teacher's mother had been battling alzheimer's for awhile now and she finally passed away last night. I immediately felt great remorse for my teacher and the way I judged her. When our teacher returned to school I apologized for her loss and asked if she was okay. For the first time my teacher smiled and thanked me, even though I had done nothing. In the book, How to kill a mockingbird chapter 10, Scout is a little embarrassed of Atticus as he is older than most dads and reads and wears glasses instead of hunting and fishing. One day when a mad dog appears the sheriff of Maycomb, Heck Tate bring a rifle to Atticus and asks him to shoot the dog. To Jim and Scouts surprise Atticus shoots the dog despite how far away he was. Miss Maudie tells Jem and Scout that, as a young man, Atticus was the best shot in the county. Scout is now a little less embarrassed and proud of his father. In chapter 11, a cranky old lady,Mrs. Dubose insults Atticus and Jem loses his temper and shoots all off the camellias in her yard. As a punishment Jem has to go to her house everyday for a month to read to her. After Jems punishment is over, Mrs. Dubose dies and Atticus reveals that Mrs. Dubose was addicted to Morphine and reading was a part of her successful effort of combat. Atticus hands Jem a single white Camellia that Mrs. Dubose wanted Jem to have.

I would say the correct answer is c. greatly distressed. These lines describe desperate attempts to live a normal life, to reinvent its meaning, to try to enjoy it once again and recreate some sense within the terrible predicament. This is not optimism - it's a desperate (and vain) attempt to reach for some optimism. It is not depression either - a depressed person doesn't even try.

Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

The nature of God

Explanation:

In these lines, St. Augustine criticizes a view that was common during his time. This is the view that argues that curiosity is a sin, and that God should not be questioned or understood. In these lines, he asks what God was doing before Creation. However, he argues that those who condemn the question (by implying that those who pry into this mystery go to Hell) is expressing a view he disagrees with. Moreover, this implies that St. Augustine does not believe God would view this question as a sin either. Therefore, he does not think this attitude reflects the nature of God.
