Answer:

A fault is a fracture or zone of fractures between two blocks of rock. ... This movement may occur rapidly, in the form of an earthquake - or may occur slowly, ... such as regions where one plate is being subducted under another as in Japan. When the dip angle is shallow, a reverse fault is often described as a thrust fault.

What statement is too broad in the passage?
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

Asteroids can cause great damage if they collide with Earth.

Explanation:

The above statement is actually the passage that is too broad in the passage. A "too broad" statement is one that lacks details and also too general. Such statements tend to cover generalize and cover many possible issues/topics. In such statement, different topics can fit within it.

From the above selected statement, one can see that the statement is too general and details. It wasn't specific on what damage it causes and the type of asteroid that causes what it causes.

Which of the following statements best explains why cities are so densely populated?
iragen [17]
When the price per square meter is high, real estate companies will build higher buildings, resulting more densely populated cities. When land is cheap, as in smaller cities and villages, people tend to build lower buildings and therefore cities will be less dense.

When does a slump occur
nika2105 [10]
Hey there,

Basically a slump happens along a cliff when the clay underneath it is saturated or easily erodible. So when heavy rainfall or other forces occur the top off the cliff falls and creates a sort of slumping shape.
It’s also known as a land slip.
So this would mainly happen to cliffs near the sea after rough waves or a cliff getting hit with rainwater.

Hope this helps and Happy New Year
