War of 1812 and the Battle of New Orleans
In the late summer of 1814, Jackson moved his army south and attacked the British in Mobile, Alabama. He then set his sights on the British at the Spanish post of Pensacola, Florida. In November, he won that battle too. The British sailed on to New Orleans. In December, the persistent Jackson followed, leading a small advance party of his troops to New Orleans. Describe how the officers families were taken care of.(Fort Union)
eimsori [14]

Answer:

There were hundreds of enlisted men and several officers at Fort Union who were tried by courts-martial during the forty-year history of the post. A perusal of the records could lead to the conclusion that virtually every soldier, at some time or other (in some cases many times), appeared before a panel of judges to face charges for some offense.
