The first alternative is correct (A).

Drawing on the experience of World War I, economist John Keynes said that war was good for an economy as countries demanded many arms manufactures, as well as food and fuel. Keynes made this observation by analyzing the American economy, which left the first war as the greatest economic power in the world. The US was the main supplier of weapons and food to European countries during the war.

However, it was not just the United States that changed its industrial plants in favor of armaments manufacturing. Other governments have also done this in Russia, England, Japan and more. The factories of that period became the poles supporting the war.

What is the subject of Winston Churchill speech ????
konstantin123 [22]

Answer: Blood, toil, tears and sweat”… “we will fight on the beaches” … “this was their finest hour” … “never was so much owed by so many to so few.” These phrases, all uttered in the summer of 1940, have almost become cliches, showing that Churchill was a master of what we now call the sound bite. When the day came, Churchill delivered remarks that would give the press something to write about. The title of his speech was “The Sinews of Peace," but its primary message was that the United States and Great Britain needed to confront an increasingly aggressive Soviet Union.
