Understanding cultural diversity is important because one must know how to love and appreciate, or at least acknowledge other diverse cultures in order to love or appreciate themselves. We must not only care about ourselves, and our life, and our needs, we bleed the same blood, just because we look different does not mean we should not love one another. In the end, we all think, and breathe, and talk, and walk the same way.
