Answer:

C) The turbines are too large

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is what is the disadvantage of wind energy over burning coal.  A) is not a disadvantage B) is not a disadvantage D) is not a disadvantage, however, C) is a disadvantage.

Wind power, where suitable amount of wind is available, is economical, it can be converted directly into energy and does not cause any pollution.  These are all advantages over burning coal.  However, turbines are large, and depending on the amount of electricity needed, can require large amounts of space and or land to accommodate the number of turbines needed

Coal, is not a renewable resource making it a limited supply which makes it less economical and sustainable.  It has to be burned in order to generate and be turned into electricity, which causes pollution.

The only disadvantage to wind energy is that the turbines are very large and require a large amount of space in order to collect enough kinetic energy to convert to electrical

Wind energy is not a predictable/reliable source. If the wind slows down or is'nt present, you don't have any electricity being produced, while coal can be burned 24/7

find the length of the base of a square pyramid if the volume is 1,024 cubic inches and has a height of 12 inches. (6 points) 4
Leokris [45]
To solve, we use the volume of a square pyramid formula which is expressed as the product of the area of the base (a²) and the height divided by three(h/3).

Volume = a² (h/3)
1024 in³ = (a²) (12 in/3)
a² = 1024 in³ · 3 /12
a = √256 in²
a = 16 in

Thus, the length of the base is 16 in.

If F(X)= 6X-4 and F(A)= 26 what is the value of a? Explain
sammy [17]
Easy if you know the formula

all this means is that your x value is a, and when it is, will give you the value 26.

f(a) = 6a - 4 = 26

6a = 30
a = 5
