What is a limitation of first-persoh narration in a story?
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

B. The other characters' views and thoughts are left out.

Explanation:

A story written in first person can include only what that main character sees. This limits the amount of information or background in the story. The reader doesn't get to see the action from any other character's point of view.

According to the legend, what was the long-term effect of Maui's bargain with the sun?
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

After conversing for a while, the sun agreed to stay in the sky longer for Maui’s mother and for other Hawaiians who needed to complete their tasks during the day.

Explanation:

Maui became brave, and promised his mother he would capture the sun, and bargain with the sun to slow down and make the days longer. To do this, he needed a strong rope and lasso, which is mother and grandmother provided for him. After studying the ways of the sun, Maui climbed to the top of Haleakalā (house of the rising sun), and lassoed the sun. The sun was caught and could not hurry across the sky

Which of the following sentences contains a misplaced modifier?
deff fn [24]
I believe the correct answer is B. The modifier "wearing a blue dress" is placed far from the noun which is supposed to modify - Stacey. Such as it is, it could easily be attributed to another noun, the stage. It would seem that the stage was wearing a blue dress, rather than Stacey. This is easily fixable with a comma between "stage" and "wearing".

The C and D sentences are also a little bit awkward, but they don't contain a misplaced modifier.
