The answer is Primary source.  Why that's the answer is because secondary sources are from textbooks, Bibliographies,  and summaries.  Primary sources are the real deal like photographs, audio recordings, speeches, and journals.  Village Life is a real diary so its a primary source.

I haven't read the book myself but here is the guideline to sources. Hopefully this helps.

Primary source: Written by the person going through an event. The Diary of Anne Frank is a primary source.

Secondary Source: A book of history. The person wasn't there but they know enough information to write about what the people went through. Your history book is a secondary source.

Tertiary Source: A combination of secondary and primary source. Wikip3dia is an example of a tertiary source. It maybe include facts and then opinions.

Please help
statuscvo [17]

Answer:

It can be said that the context in which the play was written (for example Shakespeare time) would be relevant to understand the context of the story. Background information about dates, customs role of the men and women, religion and politics might be crucial to understand the play better. These ideas  might help the reader to set a context and be able to comprehend some character´s action and decision.

It is sometimes difficult to judged a play with a modern eye because society has changed a lot since then that is why reading about context would help.
