What are 5 problems with the Articles of Confederation? 20+ points
storchak [24]

Answer:

1.  There was no chief executive or president under the Articles of Confederation.

2.  There was no national court system under the Articles of Confederation.

3.  Congress did not have the power to tax nor collect state debts that were owed to the federal government.

4.  Passing a law required approval by 9 out of the 13 states.

5. Any ammendments (changes) to the Articles of Confederation had to be approved by all 13 states.

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation proved to be too weak to support the United States.  The Constitution would eventually replace the weak Articles and would include 3 branches instead of 1 branch (Legislative or Congress) under the Articles.
