3/6 divided by 3/3 equals 1/2
7/14 divided by 7/7 equals 1/2

The fractions 3/6 and 7/14 are equivalent because they both can be simplified to 1/2.

*You just have to find the simplified versions of the fractions*

Hope this helps!

3/6 and 7/14 can both be reduced to 1/2

Lets start with 3/6

3   divided by 3               1

--                                     ----

6  divided by 3                2

now, 7/14

7  divided by 7           1

--                                ----

14 divided by 7           2

Whatever you do to the numerator (top number) you have to do to the denominator (bottom number)

An object is launched from a launching pad 208 ft. above the ground at a velocity of 192ft/sec. what is the maximum height reach
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

h(x) = -16x² + 192x + 208

784ft

6 sec

13 sec

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

h(x) = -16x² +vx + h_{o}

here v represent velocity

         h_{o} represent initial height of launch

h(x) = -16x² + 192x + 208

b)

h(x) = -16x² + 192x + 208

here a = -16

        b = 192

        c = 208

x = -b/2a

  = -192/2(-16)

  = 6

plug this value in the equation

h(x) = -16(6)² + 192(6) + 208

      = 784ft

e)

Plug h(x)=0 in the equation

0 = -16x² + 192x + 208

divide equation by -16

x² - 12x - 13 = 0

Factors

1x * -13x = -13

1x - 13x = -12

Factorised form

x² - 12x - 13 = 0

x² + x - 13x - 13 = 0

x(x+1) -13(x+1) = 0

(x+1)(x-13) = 0

x = -1

x = 13

Since time can not be negative so we will reject x = -1

The area of a rectangular knitted blanket is 10x squared minus 11x minus 6. What are the possible dimensions of the blanket? Us
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Dimensions of rectangle are (5x+2)\:and\: (2x-3)\\

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular knitted blanket = 10x^2-11x-6

We need to find the dimensions of blanket.

If we need to find the dimensions, we need to find the factors of area.

Factoring:  10x^2-11x-6

We will break the middle them -11x

  • Adding 4x-15x we get -11x
  • Multiplying 4x and -15x we get -60x^2 (Product of -6 and 10x^2)

Now, finding factors

10x^2-11x-6\\10x^2+4x-15x-6\\2x(5+2)-3(5x+2)\\(5x+2)(2x-3)\\

So, factors of 10x^2-11x-6\\ are (5x+2)(2x-3)\\

So, dimensions of rectangle are (5x+2)\:and\: (2x-3)\\
