Answer:Dividing two binomials will not always result in a polynomial. For instance, divide (x+2) over (x+3) and we won't get a polynomial. The result is known to be a rational expression but not a polynomial. So that's why division is not closed for polynomials.

Contrast that with addition, subtraction and multiplication. For any of those operations taking two polynomials and adding them, subtracting them, or multiplying them will lead to another polynomial. That's why these operations are closed for polynomials.

Black_prince [1.1K]

The remaining money will be $62. 65 billion

What will be the remaining fund in FDIC?

Given amount =$67. 8 billion

Amount used to cover several failed banks = 7.6% of the total amount

So the amount used to cover several failed banks=  \dfrac{67.8\times 7.6}{100}

Amount = 5.1528

So the remaining amount = 67.8-5.15=62.65

Thus the remaining money will be $62. 65 billion

MrRissso [65]
1/4 ounce of yeast ... 2 1/4 teaspoons of yeast
x ounce of yeast = ? ... 2 teaspoons of yeast

If you would like to know how many ounces of yeast need to be in the recipe, you can calculate this using the following steps:

1/4 * 2 = x * 2 1/4
1/2 = x * 9/4     /*4/9
x = 1/2 * 4/9
x = 2/9

Result: 2/9 ounce of yeast needs to be in this recipe.
