Polar climates are characterized by

Biology

Answer:

Low rates of evaporation

Polar climate is found in regions around the north and south poles. They include the Arctic and Antarctica regions.

Explanation:

The regions are mainly cold, dry and windy. This is mainly due to their positionon earth relative to sun causing them to receive very little annual sunlight energy compared to other latitudes of the earth. Therefore most of the moisture is locked up in ice hence the dryness of the region. This is not helped by the thin atmosphere in these regions. This means they cannot retain heat because infrared (the electromagnetic waves responsible for heat transfer) boucing up from the earth's surface easily escapes back to space from this region of earth. The heat needed to spur precipitation, therefore, lacks and hence the dryness.  Temperatures in these regions range at averages of 10 degrees centigrade on the warmest summer months.

What structures work in antagonistic pairs to move bones?
Olegator [25]

Answer

Option C - Skeletal Muscles

Explanation

Antagonistic pairs are the muscles that are functionally opposite, if one produces flexion, then the other's primary action is an extension. Skeletal muscles work in pairs to move a bone so that the muscles can function properly. They contract the bone making nerves deliver a message to the brain. For example. Biceps and triceps. The lower arm is moved upwards when the biceps muscle contracts and the triceps muscle is relaxed and vice versa.

The procedure of the development of bones from hyaline cartilage is known as endochondral ossification. Endochondral ossification transforms hyaline cartilage into true bones, that is, hyaline cartilage functions as a template for the formation of bones. All the bones of the body, except for the mandible, flat bones of the skull, and clavicles are produced via endochondral ossification.
