A. battle of somme

The British troops together with the French division were for a major raid at Somme hoping to break the stalemate. They wanted the Germans out of France. This battle of attrition stretched over the Somme river and resulted in a long stalemate. The small advances made by any part were of little significance. The campaign lasted until the winter. The British and French forces underwent heavy loses when trying to break the enemy frontlines on the Western Front in 1916.

It is considered a stalemate since the Allies could only gain around 8km in repelling the advance of German troops.

The Battle of Somme frontlines can be seen in this image:

Of the water sources included in the map above, which was the most influential to the development of ancient Egypt civilization?
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

Hello there! Elizabeth here! I would choose either B:the Mediterranean Sea & D:Nile River. But if your answer only required 1 answer, then I would 100% choose C. Nile River, or else wise the Egypt civilization wouldn't be able to server their 'Boss', or to be able to survive by not eating the wheat bread.

What was the underlying cause of Pontiac's Rebellion?
jolli1 [7]

Answer: C

Explanation: On February 10, 1763, the Treaty of Paris brought the French and Indian War to a close, and all lands previously controlled by the French were now under British control. American Indians in the Ohio Country, Illinois Country, and Great Lakes region feared the loss of their French allies and the influx of colonists from east of the Appalachian Mountains settling on their land. To prevent the incursion of colonial settlers, Pontiac encouraged Ohio Country tribes to unite and to rise up against the British.
