1.The buildings and monuments. Like the Eiffel tower and the arc de triomphe

2.The history. Like the royal castle,palace of versailles,and hub of french political power.

According to the lecture Paris is important because It is located on the other side of the La Mancha Channel. It is the capital of France and there you can find the Eifel Tower.
