When raising a child, almost every parent would admit using the "bribing method" at some point, in order to change their kid's attitude in a specific time or event. In general, psychologists advice parents no to bribe their child in exchange for good behavior as it would mean teaching him/her that behaving well is only worthwhile if you can get something in return. However, parenting is a very difficult and testing thing to go through for anyone, and parents should not take every theory on child raising methods so literally. Using the bribing method in critical situations, and sparingly, cannot only be very effective, as most humans including children like to have incentives, but also it can teach the kid how to work towards something desirable and how to be patient through the process.
