swat32

Answer:

Capitalism caused the Industrial Revolution because industrialization required significant work and investment from individuals and not necessarily the government. ... What does learning history teach you about yourself?
dybincka [34]

Answer:

it helps to understand your own shadows, to know that even the nicest of humans can, indeed, cause the most harm. Even those who you deem great, and perhaps even admire, may have done awful, horrific even, awful things.

How did the number of free states and slave states affect representation in Congress ?
Alenkinab [10]

____________________________________________________

Answer:

There were more free states than slave states, so most of the people in congress were against slavery.

____________________________________________________

The number of free states and slave states affected the representation in Congress because there were more free states than slave states, so most people that represented a state in Congress were for anti-slavery, or against slavery since they're part of a free state in which they didn't have slavery.

____________________________________________________

Definitions:

Free State:

What a free state was is a state that didn't have slavery in it, which means the people in the state are free. Free states were mostly the states in the Northern side of the United States. Most of the states were free states

Slave state:

What a slave state was is a state that had slavery in it, which means that slavery is active and legal in the state. Slave states were mostly the states in the Southern side of the United States. Some of the states were slavery states.

____________________________________________________

Explanation:

The reason on why "There were more free states than slave states, so most of the people in congress were against slavery" would be your answer is because during the times of slavery, the way the government looked like were based off of people's belief in slavery. People that are part of a free state were most likely against the idea of slavery, and thinks that it's wrong. But on the other hand, people that were part of a slave state were most likely for slavery, since the slave states had a lot of slavery. This affected the representatives in Congress because people from different states are representing a state that is either a free state or slave state. One part of Congress chamber is made up of senators, in which the senators represent different states. Since there were more free m states than slave starts, more senators that were part of Congress were against slavery, since the amount of states there were that were free dominated the amount of states that were slave states. Therefore, to sum it all up, most people that were representing a state in Congress were against slavery.
