As such, the paragraph would be organized in this manner:

Cyril is a very pious monk. He devotes his life to religion and earnestly follows the doctrine of his church. He is not interested in zealous matters, which he regards as distractions from the worship of the Deity that he believes in.

The order of these words comes from following the logic within the structure of the paragraph itself and you also use the clue words within the paragraph to guide you in organizing the words and putting them in their correct grammatical form.
