The story tells of a woman reacting to her husband's death. She must consider many years of a relationship, and their time together is not really the story of an hour.

As you may know, nonverbal communication is communication
that happens without words. Nonverbal
communication can be anything from eye contact (or lack of eye contact) to
facial expressions and gestures. When
one views the speech that President Kennedy gave at Rice University, he can be
seen to frequently use his right hand to point down toward the podium or to
pound his fist into the podium. This
nonverbal communication—the gestures President Kennedy makes with his right
hand— communicates a determination and confidence that reinforces what he was
communicating in his speech that the United States was determined to go to the
moon and confident it would do so.

They are the author's memories and impressions with the man he based Life of Pi off of. If you read the introduction(which is all in italics) he talks about how he came to write the book, and one thing the author mentions is the first meeting of real-life Piscine. So while the story is going on, the author adds in his thoughts on the main character.

My guess would be the one big-ticket item that determines the outcome of peoples lives would be money and the people they surround themselves with, It is not similar to what the Greeks thought because they were very religious, I do believe in fate because; there are some things that happen to us in which it is uncontrollable.
