Roman catholicism is the most abundant religion in the area, although the region also has sizable populations of Catholics and Muslims and notable shares of Lutherans in some countries. However Catholicism remains the most predominant religion in the west of Eastern Europe. The most representative cases of this are Austria, and Poland. While, in the Czech Republic is the only country surveyed in which a majority of older people say they are religiously unaffiliated,still , there is a tendency back to religion in some areas among eldery and other social groups. Slovenia, Slovakia,etc also have considerable amounts of catholic devotes.
The Southern Manifesto was a document written in the South in 1956, which attempted to push back against Brown V. Board of Ed., which stated that racial segregation in school was illegal. Their argument being that the US Constitution nowhere mentions education.
It was basically a the transportation of African slaves to America. This occurrance took place between the 16th and the 19th century.
In this trade slaves were sold to Western Europeans which then resold the slaves to the Americans. The first ones to engage in this "programme" where the Portuguese, who took slaves to Brazil for the first time about 26 years they arrived there in 1500.
