In Spanish, the verb has to agree with person and number of the subject. So, as in all the sentences of the message the direct subject is the first person singular (I = "yo"), then all verbs have to be conjugated in first person singular, too. Normally, when a verb is regular the way to conjugate it is by adding the suffix -o instead of the infinitive suffix. But, most of the right answer here have irregular verbs, so as they have to follow the rule, also have to change something in the root to be correctly conjugated.
In sentence number 1, Jorge is saying that he RUNS a section of a magazine, which in Spanish is: "dirigir". Now, to conjugate it properly in this case we must add the suffix -o, but also change the last word of the verb's root, because the verb "dirigir" has a strong sound because of the syllable "gi" which has a strong "/j/" sound that goes with a vibration in the pronunciation that the syllable "go" doesn't manifest. So that is why you have to change the word "g" of the root of the verb, for the word "j" instead. Then the verb conjugated goes: "dirijo".
In sentence number 2, Jorge is saying that he HAS a dog called Lola. The correct verb in Spanish for this is: "tener". Now, in order to conjugate it correctly we should add the suffix -o, but also add the letter "g" before the suffix as the rule says about the irregular verbs. Then the verb conjugated goes: "tengo".
In sentence number 3, Jorge is saying that he doesn't GO OUT so much, and the verb in Spanish for this is: "salir". Now, in order to conjugate it we must follow the same rules as the sentence number 2: add a "g" and then suffix -o. So the verb conjugated goes: "salgo".
In sentence number 4, Jorge is saying that he THINKS that Mariana is interesting, and the verb in Spanish for that is: "Creer". Now, this is the only verb that is regular, so to conjugate it we only have to add suffix -o. Then, the verb goes: "creo".
