Read the excerpt from "A Pair of Silk Stockings."
Akimi4 [234]

The answer is: 2. temptation.

In the excerpt from "A Pair of Silk Stockings," the author Kate Chopin directs attention to Mrs. Sommers desire to spend the money on her own rather than on her children. In that respect, the words used to describe the articles she wishes to purchase have a provocative connotation. For example, soft means gentle, luxurious refers to something extremely elegant and classy, glisten is to shine, and serpent-like implies that the object is smooth to the sense of touch.

Study the sentences below. The information looks like a paragraph, but it’s not. Can you figure out why?
11111nata11111 [884]

Here's why. List the topics. It starts with who invented the radio. It goes on to tell what the use of the radio was during WWII. Then it switches to automobile radios and from there to cell phones (a life altering invention) and their dangers while driving.

I don't see the connection, but we are now watching television which jumps to talking to each other and then back to TV and the series you can find on TV.

There is about 10 subject switches in that one paragraph. Normally that would not even be passible writing, let along good writing.
