He helped organize many peaceful and non violent sit ins and protests such as the Montgomery bus boycott, which was a year long struggle for justice after Rosa Parks was arrested. He proceeded to promote non violent action throughout the South, and eventually shared his famous ''I Have a Dream'' speech to the people gathered in Washington. This is only a small portion of his legacy, as he dedicated his life to the peaceful struggle for racial equality.
