Answer:  The correct answer is : The figurative language used by Naomi Shihab Nye is the metaphor

Explanation:  Her poetic stories become metaphors that define human life. Her verses contain many images that describe the ordinary perceived as extraordinary. Metaphors help beautify a description. Metaphor is a concept or expression of an idea or word that is not directly described but compared to another element in order to understand it. For example, Naomi uses this metaphor to refer to Alfred's wonderful voice: How can a giant whale live in the small puddle of his chest?

Which of the following techniques is key in the process of close reading?
Tems11 [23]
Annotating is the closest technique in the process of close reading.

Annotating the process of writing detailed notes around said paragraph.  It doesn't just mean to take notes, you could also be highlighting or underlining some terms.  I can't clearly describe it because you can practically do anything here.

If you do a Google search for the definition of annotation, you get...

In this poem, what is the significance of the poet’s comparison of love to "childhood’s faith"?
Rama09 [41]
Well, you can analyze the poem any way you want, poetry is open to everyone's interpretation. I believe that when the poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, compares love to "childhood's faith," she wants to show the innocence of that love. Children have blind faith in their parents, friends, etc. and can be quite naive, the way her love is as well. However, she can also be talking about the power of her love, because a child's faith is unbreakable - it is so strong, just as much as her love. Hope this helps!
