English

In the first poem, by Emily Dickinson, the poet uses a more joyful and happy tone. She describes the bird with admiration and respect. The tone is a positive one.

In the second poem, the author employs a tone that is more somber. While the poem speaks of hope (the bird promises that spring will come), the author tells us that he is "in the dark of December," giving the poem a less positive tone.

Why is time and place so important when looking at a source
Afina-wow [57]
Because if it was written after the time of the event, the source may be inaccurate. Also, if it was written in a different place to the event the source is taking about, that place could be particularly biased for or against that event.

Read the passage
Anika [276]

Answer: D

You have a problem deciding if the answer is B or D because they are saying much the same thing.

C is never going to be the answer: he will always remember the jungle just as you or I would remember our childhood. What we experience in childhood is the only experiences we are going to get from childhood. Reading about others will not do us much good.

A is not the answer although it is correct. Kaa  and Shere Khan remain dangerous now as they were before. So A is not the answer you seek.

D is probably the answer you want. It is more general than B.
