No, I don't think the media accurately portrays teenagers today.

Explanation:

The media in this 21st century seem to have an agenda against teenagers in this day and age. They portray them mostly as video game addicts, social media addicts, disobedient, and downright rebellious.

This is not an accurate representation of teenagers all over the world, even though it may be true for a small section of teenagers. There are teenagers who have produced, developed or invented things that have changed the world, teens like Jack Andraka, who found a less expensive way to identify cancer signs early enough and Ann Makosinski who developed a flashlight that converts body heat to energy.

The media rarely covers such news or gives it wide coverage, but seem to magnify the bad news from some teens.
