BRITNEY SPEARS :

She was an American girl, whose father stayed away from them. She worked in Micky mouse club, from where she became famous. When she was 16, she was offered the song "...Baby one more time" , but they said that her voice wasn't meant for that time's pop music , so they trained her to sing in a Baby voice , which is still iconic , but it actually ruined her real voice , which was beautiful. Baby one more time was actually meant for backstreet boys, but they passed it on. Later , when Britney sang it, it became a superhit.

She was super popular , she was around the world, she released super hit albums, including Baby one more time, oops! i did it again, Britney (2001), In the zone .. But then , while she was shooting the music video for her song "Outrageous" for her album In The zone, she fell down , and broke her knee . As she was an excellent dancer, this was a decline in her career. But, PAPARAZZI still didn't spare her. They followed her everywhere, people began to fat-shame her, even if she was slim.. She was going through a divorce and was worried about the custody of her kids, but public was still over her , until she had a mental breakdown... She shaved her head , attacked paparazzi with her umbrella and much more... People began to call her crazy , and she had a public breakdown. But, her career was not over yet... She released an album named "Blackout" my personal favourite ,but it wasn't a big hit. But then she was back with her superhit album circus (2008) which had super hit songs like , womanizer, circus, if you seek Amy etc. Then , she released more albums named "Femme fatale", "Britney Jean" and "Glory" which were not superhits ...But today being less prominent keeps her happy, and all we (her fans) want her to be is happy :) She is a wonderful artist , mom and human being. We love Britney ❤♡❤

What is the author's most likely purpose in presenting
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

To inform readers about one reason why cycling was controversial in the 1800s

Explanation:

The reason why the author mentions Dr. Richardson's research is to inform the readers about one reason why cycling was controversial in the 1800s.

Wheels of Change is a book written by Sue Macy about how important cycling was in the emancipation of women in late-nineteenth-century America. The purpose of the book is mostly to inform - not to persuade or entertain. Dr. Richardson is a prominent figure from that time, and Macy tells us about his opinion on this matter.
