What led to the development of slave codes

History

Slaves did not accept their fate without protest. Many instances of REBELLION were known to Americans, even in colonial times. These rebellions were not confined to the South. In fact, one of the earliest examples of a slave UPRISING was in 1712 in Manhattan. As African Americans in the colonies grew greater and greater in number, there was a justifiable paranoia on the part of the white settlers that a violent rebellion could occur in one's own neighborhood. It was this fear of rebellion that led each colony to pass a series of laws restricting slaves' behaviors. The laws were known as SLAVE CODES.

How did Japanese leaders justify the invasion of Manchuria in 1931?
jeka94

Answer:

Right choice: B. They detonated a bomb in Japanese territory and blamed China for setting it.

Explanation:

In 1931, Japan had already both a strong economic and business presence and a military presence in Manchuria, a region that had been part of China for centuries. It was rich in minerasl and resources needed in industry and with its vastness, it could also offer a solution for the overpopulation of the Japanese islands.

The real motives  of the Japanese frame-up was to take full control of the regional resources and consolidate business expansion; Japanese capitals controlled already the South Manchuria Raiwal Company.

So, the Japanese army exploded a bomb on September 18, 1931, and blamed the local government, just a pretext for a full occupation of Manchuria.

Would outlawing abortions be constitutional?
son4ous [18]
There is nothing in the constitution saying abortion is legal or illegal. But as they said above the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. Although just recently Georgia banned abortion after a heartbeat is sensed in the baby/fetus. So I’m not entirely sure what to answer. I would say yes it is because the abortion ban in Texas was deemed unconstitutional after roe v wade.

Anni [7]

The Great Awakening was an Evangelical Revival in the 1730s in Great Britain and the Thirteen Colonies in America. This new movement “encouraged individuals to take control of their own beliefs. Great Awakening preachers believed in introspection and personal guilt and how commitment to new standards of morality would turn out in salvation by Christ.

Women as well as minority groups such as African Americans were not excluded from this movement and there wasn’t an increased connection with the Church of England.

Great Awakening movement had a great impact on the American Revolution as it created a sense freedom of religion.
