Inuit group makes up the largest percentage of Greenland’s population

The approximate population of Greenland is about 57,000. Here 88% of the people are Inuit. The rest of the people are white European descent.  

The Greenlandic Inuit are also found in Denmark in thousands of numbers. The Inuit people living in the country's western part where it is called as Kalaallit Nunaat or “land of Kalaallit”. The country Greenland faces HIV, alcoholism and unemployment as major pressing social issues.
