Answer: Nitrogen.

Explanation:

Nitrogen is found in the atmosphere in higher concentrations. By volume the amount of nitrogen in atmosphere is 78% . It is the most abundant gas found in the atmosphere.

Inspite of being in a huge amount in atmosphere, plants cannot uptake nitrogen from the soil by its own. The plants needs nitrogen fixing bacteria to make nitrogen available for the plants.
