two ropes, ad and bd, are tied to a peg on the ground at point d. the other ends of the rope are tied to points, a and b, on a f

lagpole. angle adc measure 45 degrees and angle bdc measures 30 degrees. IF the distance between point d and the flagpole is 5*the square root of 3 what is the distance between points a and b on the flagpole?

I guess C is the point where the flagpole touches the ground. If so:

ADC is a an isosceles right triangle. (ACD = 90, ADC = 45, then DAC=45).
So DC = AC = 5√3. Now let's consider the right triangle BCD:
ADC = 30, tan 30 = BC/DC:
tan 30 = BC/5√3, or tan30 = √3/3 → √3/3 = BC/5√3 and
BC =5. But AB = AC - BC
AB = 5√3 - 5
AB =5(√3 - 1) or AB = 3.66

SashulF [63]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

\triangle ABC \sim \triangle XYZ .△ABC∼△XYZ.

AB = 6\:cm, \:BC = 9 \:cm, CA = 12 \:cmAB=6cm,BC=9cm,CA=12cm

Let \: XY = 10\:cm, \:YZ = x \:cm, \: XZ = y /:cmLetXY=10cm,YZ=xcm,XZ=y/:cm

\frac{AB}{XY} = \frac{BC}{x} = \frac{CA}{y}XYAB=xBC=yCA

\blue {( The \: lengths \:of \: corresponding }(Thelengthsofcorresponding

\implies \frac{6}{10} = \frac{9}{x} = \frac{12}{y}⟹106=x9=y12

i) \implies \frac{6}{10} = \frac{9}{x}i)⟹106=x9

\implies x = \frac{9 \times 10}{6}⟹x=69×10

\implies x = 15\:cm⟹x=15cm

ii) \implies \frac{6}{10} = \frac{12}{y}ii)⟹106=y12

\implies y = \frac{12 \times 10}{6}⟹y=612×10

\implies y = 20\:cm⟹y=20cm

Therefore.,

What is 2 2/5×2 7/9 in simplest mixed number form?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

6 2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

2 2/5 * 2 7/9

Change each number to an improper fraction

2 2/5 = (5*2+2)/5 = 12/5

2 7/9 = (9*2+7) = 25/9

12/5 * 25/9

Rewriting

25/5  * 12/9

5/1 * 4/3

20/3

Now changing to a mixed number

3 goes into 20 6 times with 2 left over

6 2/3

Without calculating the answer for 5 1/5 * 2/5 be larger or smaller than 5 1/5
solniwko [45]

Answer:

Evidently, without the calculating 5 1/5 times 2/5 would be larger than 5 1/5 since you are already gonna multiply 2/5 and that would make it larger.

Hope this helps!

Branliest would be appreciated :DD
