34 = 2W + 2(2W +8)

Distribute

34 = 2W + 4W + 16

Combine like terms

34 = 6W + 16

Solve for W

34- 16 = 6W

Substitute 3 in for W in Length equation.

L = 2(3) + 8 = 14
