Why don't hurricanes form in the northern Atlantic ocean

Geography
1 answer:

Only tropical cyclones that form over the Atlanic Ocean or eastern Pacific Ocean are called "hurricanes." Whatever they are called, tropical cyclones all form the same way. Tropical cyclones are like giant engines the use warm, moist air as fuel. That is why they form only over warm ocean water near the equator.

Why did zionists want to establish a Jewish national state in the Middle East
Helen [10]

Simply because Jews have never been completely equal, completely
welcome, or completely safe in anyone else's country.

The so-called "Zionist" movement was started by visionaries who
foresaw that Jews would never be completely equal, welcome,
and safe anywhere except their own country, and it was time to get
serious about returning to their country that the Romans drove them
out of, almost 2,000 years ago.

Where would you be most likely to find a freshet?
valentinak56 [21]

The freshet is basically a flood that occurs because of heavy rainfall or because of the melting of a snow.

This type of flooding is most common in the valleys of the larger rivers, especially the ones that start their flow high in the mountains.

The large rivers have much more water, and they also have lot of tributaries, so when there's a heavy rainfall they receive enormous amounts of water, which easily causes a flood.

Also, when the snow melts, lot of water is released from it, and most of that water gets into the river, or first in its tributaries and that in it, so there's a high possibility of a big flood occurring suddenly.
