Its important to first understand what civic duty means. Civic duties include, for example, obeying the laws of the country, paying the taxes levied by the government, or serving on a jury or as a witness in court. These are things that are required by citizens of a country. Thus to go beyond ones civic duty would be to do more than what is required of oneself for the betterment of the community. With that in mind the correct answers would be 1) Voting in local, state and national elections; 2) Volunteering to work at a local homeless shelter; and 4) Learning about major national issues being debated in Congress. These three things are not required of citizens and thus would be going beyond ones civic duties.

The use of the silk roads decreased when
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

The use of the Silk Road decrease began as early as the Song Dynasty, and this decrease was fueled by the rise in Chinese maritime trade and the high customs duties required by the Arabs. Consequently, new trade centers in Southeast Asia emerged.

Explanation:

There was no danger of long inland voyages and costs for brokers on maritime voyages. With the rise of the expansion of European naval forces at the beginning of a new era, the Silk Road is finally losing its meaning. The trade in silk is replaced by ships, with Chinese traders making their way to India and Arabia. Since the Song Dynasty, Europeans have been very restricted in trading with China. At the time of naval expansion, one of the main goals was to rediscover the sea route to fairytale China (China).
