Answer:

d. the narrator should have been in school, but he faked sick and had a day to himself.

Explanation:

This activity is about the <u>short story "Stolen day"</u>.

The narrator feels sick only because he sees a boy who has a disease and cannot go to school and he starts believing he has the same disease. He leaves school and goes home where he claims his mother does not give him enough attention.

Answers "b" and "c" are not correct because he did not have a plan in the first place and he did went fishing; and I also do not believe answer "a" is correct because the narrator's mother only makes him lay for one or two hours and then he says he feels okay again.

The correct answer is "d".

How did Henry David Thoreau feel about the pace of life in his time? He wished people would hurry up. He felt that time moved to
mixer [17]

Answer: He felt things moved too quickly.

Henry David Thoreau believed that the pace of life during his time was too quick, and that it did not allow people to have enough time to appreciate all the details of life. He also believed that technological improvement was a way in which people lost control of their lives. Therefore, he advocated for a simple life of hard work and little distractions. This is exemplified in his work <em>Walden</em>.
