Answer:

It weakens the immune system.

Explanation:

According to scientific studies, prolonged stress affects the immune system and makes the body more susceptible to disease.

Cortisol is a hormone that acts to inhibit the body's defense system and is related to cardiovascular complications. With constant stress, the body produces it in large quantities, causing the body itself to relax its defenses. The consequence is the poor response of the immune system that becomes weakened and makes the body highly susceptible to disease.

To reduce stress and increase body protection, psychotherapeutic help is needed to treat the problem and implement a number of changes in habits: Sleep well, avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and eating well, and doing physical activity.

Well stress can cause a lot of health issues. This question is asking how prolonged stress results in the increase in illnesses. Prolonged stress can cause for example; Anxiety Disorder, High Blood Pressure, Mental Disorder, Irritable Bowl Syndrome, Diabetes, and more. I am not sure about choice A because that is not necessarily correct. A stressful life can trigger asthma if you have the condition already so choice B is a possibility. Stress almost always has an effect on the immune system so choice C is the best answer so far. Stress could cause the fight of flight response but I don't think that choice D is what they are looking for.
I would say choice C.

The three safe thawing methods are:
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

Third option

Explanation:

Thawing meat on the counter is risky because once it hits a certain temperature, bacteria start to multiply. That eliminates the second option. Warm/ hot water will also create more bacteria and will cause the exterior of the meat to heat up faster while the interior is still frozen. That gets rid of the first and fourth option.

vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

The correct answer to the question: In the 2009-2010 season, for example, the textbook notes that opening night rosters included___ players from ___ different countries and territories, would be: A: 83, 36.

Explanation:

The topic of diversity, especially of national diversity, in sports, in the United States, has become a really important one. Regardless of the sport that we look at, one thing that can be said is that the amount of foreign players, from different countries of origin, has increased quite a bit. One sport that is reknown for having opened up its doors to foreign players, from countries different to the U.S, is basketball. Statistics show that since 2003, at least, the NBA, the U.S., basketball professional league, has opened up its teams to foreign representation, and as of 2009-2010, there had been recorded at least 83 players from 36 different nationalities.
