Answer: Year after year, the situation of women in Mexico is improving, but their number in this segment of life is increasing.

Explanation:

Mexico is not the best example of gender equality in the world. Many cases are more equivalent in this respect. However, the fact is that women's participation in politics in Mexico is not at the forefront. According to a 2016 survey of 144 countries, Mexico ranks 66th in terms of gender equality, and thus in political participation. By comparison, in 1998, about 14% of women were involved in the political life of Mexico. From that moment, the situation has improved significantly.
